About the challenge
Build Beyond Hackathon is a challenge for builders who want to turn bold ideas into real, meaningful products.
This is more than just building a prototype. Take a problem you care about, explore what is possible with technology, and build something that can create real value. Whether you are working with AI, open source, web, mobile, or emerging technologies, the goal is simple: build something worth taking beyond the hackathon.
Bring your idea, form your team, build fast, experiment, and show us what you can create.
Get started
Start with a problem that genuinely matters. It could be something you have experienced personally, a challenge faced by your community, an inefficiency you see every day, or an opportunity where technology could create meaningful change. Great products do not always begin with complicated ideas. They begin with a clear understanding of a real problem and the determination to solve it differently.
Once you have identified the problem, start building. Choose the technologies, platforms, frameworks, and tools that make the most sense for your solution. Experiment with your ideas, test different approaches, learn from what does not work, and continuously improve what you create. You can build individually or collaborate with other builders who bring different skills and perspectives to the table.
But Build Beyond is not just about creating something that works for a final demonstration. Think beyond the prototype. Ask yourself who would actually use your product, why they would choose it, what value it creates, and how it could continue growing after the hackathon. Talk to potential users, collect feedback, validate your assumptions, and use those insights to make your solution stronger.
Throughout the hackathon, document your journey. Show us how your idea evolved from a problem into a working solution. Share the decisions you made, the challenges you encountered, what you learned, and the impact you want your product to create. Your journey and the thinking behind your solution matter just as much as the technology you use.
When you are ready, submit your project with a clear explanation of the problem, your solution, the technology behind it, and a working demonstration of what you have built.
Do not build something just to finish a hackathon. Build something worth continuing when the hackathon is over.
